Who am I? ❤︎

I always like to feel connected to my clients. And I don’t mean connected on LinkedIn, although that’s always a bonus; I mean connected as humans. After all, language is what I love, and that’s all about human connection.

So here’s a little bit about me ❤︎

As I write this, I’m based in my hometown of Sheffield in the UK. I’ve moved around a lot, but I always end up coming home!

From being a toddler, I’ve travelled to plenty of different countries—some of my favourites being Japan (of course), Hungary, and Greece. When I went on holiday as a child, I was always jealous seeing other kids my age speak multiple languages…so I made that happen for myself.

Starting in 2019, I studied at Meiji University in Tokyo for six months, during which I spent a lot of my free time discovering small local restaurants, aspects of Japanese culture that I didn’t know existed, and Japanese and Korean cosmetics that were leaps and bounds ahead of anything I’d encountered at home. At this time, I lived in a dorm with five other women from four different countries, and I’ve never sharpened my interlingual communication skills quicker. Being one of two Brits in my cohort afforded me the opportunity to get far out of my bubble, and I’m so glad it did!

After this, I spent some time in the US Midwest, and then began the events of 2020, so I returned home to Sheffield.

My website might not show it, but I’m much less of a girly girl than I seem…I just really like the colour pink! I spend my free time rock climbing, playing video games, reading non-fiction books, and wondering when the British weather is going to be nice again.

And that’s why I want to help you go global—so your content can bring enjoyment to others the same way it has done for me. It’s shaped my life, after all!
